Please help Nepal recover from the recent earthquake disaster

On 25 April with a 7.8 Mw earthquake struck Nepal. There has been more than 100 aftershocks and three subsequent strong earthquakes measuring 6.6 Mw, 6.7 Mw, and 7.3 Mw.  The death toll from the earthquake has already reached 9,000 and is expected to increase as bodies are recovered from the ruins in Kathmandu valley and information from remote areas become available.

     The Society of Nepalese in Hawaii (SNEHA) is raising funds for relief efforts in Nepal. If you would like to make a financial contribution please follow one or more of the steps below.

- Collaboration with America Nepal Medical Foundation to support relief effort in Sindhupalchowk district: Sindhupalchowk is most impacted district by earthquake. SNEHA has collaborated with America Nepal Medical Foundation to support the relief efforts and to enhance the Chautara district hospital. For further information, please visit:

SNEHA has contributed $5000 in this effort. Further information will be added in this website as SNEHA receives updates and reports from the field.
Collaboration with Real Medicine Foundation: Real Medicine Foundation has team of doctors and health professionals working in relief effort. This foundation has already supported to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu to increase its capacity to support increasing pressure of victims from Kathmandu valley as well as from surrounding districts. The pressure of victims in all hospitals of Kathmandu is high. SNEHA has contributed $5000 in their effort of relief.  SNEHA has also partner with this foundation to distribute water filters among affected communities. Representatives from the Foundation is already in field and distributing filters. For further information, please visit:
